This Luminara Moving Flame 15/16-inch x 12-inch, flameless LED taper candle is made of real ivory colored unscented paraffin wax and features a 5-hour timer that can turn the candle “on†and “off†at the same time every day. The candle is remote ready (remote sold separately), and a push button switch on the bottom turns it “on†and “off†or puts it in the 5-hour timer mode. Since this candle is made of real wax, it is recommended for use indoors or outside in cool, shady areas. We also carry plastic candles for use outside in direct sunlight. The candle requires 2 x AA alkaline batteries (sold separately) which provides approximately 150 hours of burn time. Embrace all of the benefits and splendor of a real candle anytime and anywhere.
Luminara candles are inspired by technology developed for commercial and entertainment applications, and are the most realistic flameless candles on the market today. The secret is a patented system of LEDs and electromagnetics. In each Luminara candle, an internal highly focused LED light shines upward through two opposing magnets, making the light move back and fortas it reaches the flameless wick. The result is a flameless light that dances and flickers before your eyes, and a flame effect that looks just like a real candle. Because there is no burning wick, there are no potentially harmful toxins that are emitted which makes the Luminara candle a perfect solution for asthma and other respiratory sufferers as well as the environment.
Operation
Press the push button switch located on the bottom of the candle to turn it “on†and “offâ€. Press and hold the push button switch until the candle blinks once in order to activate the 5-hour timer mode. When the candle is in the 5-hour mode, it will automatically turn “on†for 5-hours and then turn “off†for 19-hours. The candle will remain “on†for 5-hours from the time that the 5-hour timer mode was activated. The candle will repeat the same daily cycle. The 5-hour timer mode can be deactivated by simply turning the candle “off†by pressing the push button switch. The candle is remote ready and will work with various hand-held remote controls such as Liown, Luminara, Torchier and Avalon (sold separately). The hand-held remote control can be used to turn the candles “on†and “off†when the candles are in the “on†mode.
Batteries can be installed by turning the battery cover on the bottom of the candle counter-clockwise and removing the battery cover. Install 2 x AA alkaline batteries making sure they are inserted with the correct polarity. Replace the battery cover by turning the battery cover clockwise. Alkaline batteries are recommended for maximum candle burn time. Lithium batteries can also be used to further extend the candle burn time. .
